Restaurants in Pattaya Thailand

There are hundreds of restaurants in Pattaya Thailand.  Tiny stalls with a few chairs and super low prices all the way up to very large (and much pricier) places.

Thai food is incredibly delicious.  In my home city in the US, there are various Thai restaurants that I would eat at all the time if they didn't cost just as much as other restaurants in the US.

One of the best things about Pattaya is going out to great restaurants multiple times a day and not break your budget.

My Favorite Thai Food

Penang  Curry. (chicken or pork).  Yellow coconut sauce with some vegetables served over rice.  Pork dumplings.  Pork and chicken on a stick.  Mango Sticky Rice.  Tasty desert.  Pad Thai (of course).  Thin noodles, vegetables and your choice of meat mixed in.

Breakfast Restaurants in Pattaya Thailand

The Thais serve up classic western (American and English) style breakfast all day in many Pattaya restaurants for very reasonable prices.

Eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, ham, steak, beef patty, hash browns, fried potato's, baked beans, tomato's, mushroom's, black pudding, fruit, pancakes, waffles,  french toast, oatmeal and even cereal.

The Thais eat Thai food for breakfast, so most restaurants that serve western breakfasts serve Thai food all day as well.  It's very common to see a western man and a Thai lady enjoying breakfast together, he with eggs/toast/bacon, she with a traditional Thai meal.

Most of these have very full menus, usually provide coffee or tea with their breakfast specials.

My Go To Places On or Near Soi Buakhao & Treetown

These restaurants are all a very short walk from the Adelphi Hotel I stay at the most.

Cafe Pitini

On Soi Buakhao next to Candy Club.   Paninis along with English or American breakfast.  Good for ice cream shakes.  I try to avoid sugary deserts and snacks on holiday, but maybe one time during a trip.

  • Omelet w/toast and hash browns, coffee, tip
  • 200 Thb
  • $6.50 USd

You can sit outside or inside with full AC.

Copperspoons

On Chaloem Phrakiat half way between Soi Buakhao and Third Road.  Maybe the best breakfast I’ve had in Pattaya, but pricier than others.

  • Full English breakfast, coffee, tip
  • $320 ThB
  • $10.00 USD

You can sit outside or inside with full AC.

Chill Inn

On Soi Buakhao, near Chaba Hut condo entrance.  No AC, so prices are low with a lot of specials.

Jolly's

On Soi Buakhao across the street from the Chill Inn.  o AC, so prices are low.

  • Omelette, toast, coffee, tip
  • $140 ThB
  • $4.50 USD

The Sport's Lounge

On Soi Buakhao, across the street from Treetown.  No AC, so prices are low.  Popular spot for golfer's to meet for breakfast before going out on a group outing.

My Favorites On or Near Soi Buakhao & Soi Lengkee

I can walk to these as well, but I typically jump on the baht bus on Soi Buakhao near Treetown and go south to get to these restaurants.

Cheap Charlies

On Soi Buakhao a little south of Soi Lengkee.  No AC, so prices are low.

Kungs

On Soi Lengkee just a little west of Soi Buakhao.  You can sit outside or inside with full AC.  Famous for their various types of homemade sausage.

My Favorite Restaurants in Pattaya Thailand For a Big Western Type Meal

Primeburger

On Soi Buakhoa across from Treetown and next to McDonalds.  I love to get here for lunch on my first full day.  I may even go back once or twice more. Even though I love Thai food, I need to eat enough beef over my trip to make sure I feel vital.  Recent cost:

  • Stockholm Burger, sweet potato fries, coffee, water, tip
  • $500 Thb
  • $16 USD

Outlaw Pizza

On Soi Lengkee, close to 3rd Road.  They have smaller, individual sized pizzas that make for a full meal.  Outstanding.  Recent cost:

  • Personal sausage & mushroom pizza, Coke zero, tip
  • $280 ThB
  • $9.00 USD

Robinhoods

Second Road.  Part of the Second Avenue Mall on the second story.  Burger or steak.  I love the lamb burger.  Another must go to place.  Recent cost when I splurged on the bisque:

  • Lobster bisque, burger, fries, Coke zero, tip
  • $1,000 ThB
  • $32.00 USD

King Kong Burger and Steak

On Soi Pattayasoisong 11 half way between Soi Buakhao and Second Road.

  • Waygu burger, fries, soda, tip
  • $395 ThB
  • $13.00 USD

Mann Steak House

On Soi Lengkee about halfway between Soi Buakhao and Third Road.  Not cheap, but great steaks.  Opens earlier than the steak restaurants on Second Road.

  • Prime rib, fries, soda, tip
  • $950 ThB
  • $31.00 USD

My Favorite Restaurants in Pattaya Thailand for a Fabulous Evening Snack

There are countless options for an evening meal or snack in Pattaya because most restaurants stay open up until about 10:00 pm.

On my Pattaya trips, I eat my main meal around noon each day.  I want to go out for the evening feeling lean and mean, or at least not bloated.

After a few hours of partying with quite a little beer, and expending a lot of energy, I’ll be on the lookout for an evening snack to sober up and consider my next moves for the night.

Unless I am ravenous or planning on calling it a night, I will keep the food volume smaller toward the appetizer side of the menu.  I can always order more, move to the next place or get something later.

Since I did not buy a big expensive dinner, I don't mind splurging a bit at a fancier place.

My Favorite Higher End Evening Restaurants:

Hemmingways

On Soi Pattayasoisong 10 almost to 2nd Road.  Very classy place inside with great air conditioning and comfortable seating.  Shrimp Tempura is fantastic.  Pad Thai was excellent.

Pattaya Beer Hub

Soi Buakhao at Treetown, north side.  I love their Shrimp Tempura.  Guiness beer and a wide selection of imported beers.

Mostly inside seating with the AC blasting.

Pattaya Beer Garden

South end of Beach Road, first building on the ocean past the beach at the entrance to Walking Street.  Everything is good on their massive menu.  I've had their absolutely massive shrimp cocktail, pad thai and various thai meals with rice.

The only downside is the building is old with the old, extremely used marginal restrooms.

This is a must go to place.  You can sit right out on the water or under the roof.  All open air, but with the high ceilings and fans, it's cool.

Food Courts

There are food courts scattered all over Pattaya.  These have multiple small restaurant stalls with common seating.  The seats will not be very comfortable, but the cost for the meals are very low.  This is where many Thai people eat too.

Some of the main ones are located at:

  • Treetown.  On Soi Buakhao.
  • Lowest floor of the Central Festival Mall.
  • Lowest floor of the Terminal 21 Mall.
  • First level in the Second Avenue Shopping Mall.
  • Beach Market.  On Beach Road a block or 2 south of Soi 6.
  • Second Road.  Outside out in front of the Central Festival Mall.
  • Pattaya Klang Market.  Central Pattaya Road about 2 short blocks west of Soi Buakhao on north side of the road.

Big and/or High Class Restaurants in Pattaya Thailand

Horizon Bar

This is a rooftop restaurant and bar on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel between Beach Road and Second Road.

Longhorns, Patrick’s and Beefeaters Steak Restaurants.

Second Road.  These 3 steakhouses are all in one restaurant area.  The open area is under a roof and there is indoor AC seating.  Most of these open later in the afternoon.  I've been to Longhorns a few times because they open the earliest.

Three Mermaids and The Chocolate Factory

In Jomtien.  I have not been to these yet, but it appears they have fantastic ocean views, a great menu and fit into the high-class category.

Pupen Seafood Restaurant

In Jomtien at the south end of Beach Road.  Huge selection of excellent seafood.  Massive open-air restaurant right off the beach with ocean views.

Pupen ViewOcean views right off the beach at the Pupen Seafood Restaurant

Late Night Snack Restaurants

After partying hard, adventuring, exploring and expending a lot of energy, you probably need a late-night snack before crashing or guzzling those last few drinks of the night.

You will notice them near the main entertainment areas. They stay open up to and past bar time.

My favorites On and Near Soi Buakhao are:

Bronx Pizza

Pizza by the slice.  Walk up to the front, point at the pizza slice (or 2 or 3) you want.  It is already cooked, but they will pop it into the oven for a few minutes to reheat.  Pay at the counter.  Sit down in the small space in the back.  It is small, you may have to share a booth.  Or you could wait outside and take it with you.  They will bring it to you.

It will be extremely hot.  This is the type of pizza you need when you’re trashed and you need to sober up enough to get back to your hotel.  Plus, it’s the delicious New York flavor that I love.

Bronx Pizza SlicesBronx Pizza slices. Caution, they come out blazing hot

Mamaburger

Hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries.  South side of Treetown at the end closet to Soi Buakhao.  There are a few chairs (kind of flimsy, so be careful) you can sit and wait while she cooks and then eat it there and people watch.  I’ve sat here drinking a few beers too when I was too tired to move on.  Delicious, and addictive burgers.

Wursty’s

Brats, and other German specialties.  South side of Treetown towards the back of Treetown a block or so from Soi Buakhao.

Kebab stand

On Soi Buakhao across the street from Rock Factory.  Not much for chairs to eat it there.  They package it up in tinfoil, so it stays warm while you carry it back to your hotel.

Treetown Food Court

Most of the Treetown stands stay open until bar time.  Thai food, Chinese food, Mexican food, kebabs, smoothies (beer of course) and some other options.  Plenty of seating to sit, rest, eat, drink, people watch and consider if you need to crash or go back out for a few more drinks.

Restaurants in Pattaya Thailand Wrap Up

Try some of these, I’m sure you’ll love them.

And don’t be afraid to try whatever place you stumble by.  Great food with an incredibly variety in restaurants in Pattaya Thailand is the norm.
