My Pattaya Trip Planning So Far

Most of February 2026

I've been working on articles for PattayaSelect.com but not much Pattaya planning as I was very busy at work, family and other things.

February 28, 2026

Did some thinking about a May or June 2026 Pattaya trip using 40 hours of my carryover vacation that I need to use by June 30.

Penciled out how much money I would need and checking to see if that was doable.

March 6, 2026

TRT pellets installed!  I should start to feel better in a few weeks.  These should last me into July.

Was thinking which week of June would work based on my schedule.

March 8, 2026

Thinking the first full week in June would work best for my schedule to avoid other commitments.

Did some searching on flight costs and they are crazy high in June.  I might have to wait until August when the cost for flights are lower.

I spent many hours going back and forth between Google Flights, hotels.com and my calendar trying to hone in on the best time to go.

I wanted to go in June, but the flight prices were very high, more than double other times.  I wonder if it is because school is out and people do some heavy duty traveling in June.

I was looking into May, but it is coming up too fast for me, and the heat:(

I was trying to avoid July and push the trip to later in August.  The flights are reasonable, my hotel is somewhat open.

March 21, 2026

More thinking and planning.  With the extent of planning, time and money involved I believe in working on a manifestation intent for a trip of this magnitude.  So I spent some time crafting a statement.

With the money involved, I I want to accumulate the closer to the needed cash first (somewhere between $3,000 to $5,000 depending on the number of days) before booking the flight and hotel.

March 25, 2026

With my work schedule and other commitments, if I go in June it would have to be the second week of June.

March 29, 2026

Checked flights in June and they are still super high. More than 2 times August.

March 30, 2026

Pretty much decided to wait until August.  With my schedule, the earliest date to leave would be August 24, 2026.  Reserved 2 weeks off on my work calendar.

I will probably need the TRT pellets in early August to make the trip better.

April 2, 2026

At this point, it looks like the best days for my 6th trip to Pattaya are:

  • Work Monday and Tuesday August 24 & 25
  • Leave around midnight Tuesday August 25
  • Arrive in Pattaya on Thursday August 27
  • Spend 10 nights
  • Go home on Sunday September 6
  • In the US we have the Labor Day holiday on Monday September 7, so I would have that day to recover.

April 3, 2026

Went to the bank to get another $600 in hundreds.  Goal is somewhere between $3,000 and $5,000 in hundred dollar bills.  Nice, unmarked with no tears.

Main Considerations for My Pattaya Trip Planning

As I've mentioned in other articles, I've been to Pattaya 5 times:

  1. November 2022.  12 nights
  2. February/March 2023.  12 nights
  3. August 2023.  10 nights
  4. February 2024.  9 nights
  5. August 2024.  16 nights

Each trip was epic in the amount of fun and adventure.

So much so, that I thought I would get back in November 2024 and a few times in 2025.  But alas, things did not work out for me.

But now, in April 2026 as I write this, I am back to planning my trip  And I enjoy this part.

When Can I Go?

  • I have a full-time job with full-time responsibilities.  I can't just go whenever I want.  Some parts of the year are just not possible.
  • I am involved in an organization.  Some times of the year it is extremely busy and I just cannot go then either.
  • I have 2 adult children and now a new grandson.  I always consider their needs too along with my aging mother.
  • The weather.  I don't want to go during the hottest or the wettest times.  From my research this could be late April and May and mid-September through late OCtober.

How Long

  • I'd like to try to go for just 7 nights using only 40 hours of vacation and see if that is enough time.  I feel like it probably isn't, but 7 nights in paradise is going to be better than none.
  • But I will not limit myself to 7 days if I have more time and enough money.
